Our family recently returned from a week-long vacation to Miami and the Florida Keys. Our school district did away with spring break this year, so I was hesitant to pull the kids from school (all that dang homework!!), but a little voice kept telling me it would be worth it.
I’m so glad I listened!
Travel is a marvelous education – one you can never possibly get sitting in a classroom.
There was less screen time and more hands-on time.
Less behind the desk, more behind the scenes.
Lots of fresh air and slimy, fun things.
Sand between the toes…and other parts. 🙂
Less reading about other cultures, more tasting, touching, living it.
Exploring the scary and interesting (old ship Ernest Hemmingway fished from & movies made on)
Vitamin nature & creatures of all kinds.
Quality time.
Memories we’ll always treasure. ❤
